I’m Amy, the founder and creative force behind Birchstone Apothecary!
My whole life has really centered around alchemizing pain into love. And of all the self-care tools I’ve acquired, making a ritual out of skincare has been the most transformational. It’s the spark for deeper self-care, the tether to inner wisdom.
The power of this practice surprised me at first. But while studying Ayurveda, I learned that sneha, the Sanskrit word for oil is also translated as love. Ayurveda believes that there is an inherent connection between bathing the body in oil and yourself in love. Both experiences give a deep feeling of stability, warmth, and comfort.
And so, that is what I hope you feel from experiencing my creations: love. May you remember your own inner wisdom and tap into that power to heal yourself.
